A new top-of-the-range machine – the MF TH.8043 – extends Massey Ferguson’s line-up of telehandlers to six models.

Unveiled recently at France’s Innovagri Show, Francesco Quaranta, vice-president sales and marketing for MF in Europe and Middle East (EME), said: “The introduction of the new MF TH.8043 is part of our ongoing focus to provide a straightforward and valuable full-line of products and services to our customers and business partners.”

Key highlights of the 130hp MF TH.8043 include maximum lift height of 7.5m with a capacity of 4.3 tonnes, which is 13 % more than the previous range topper, the MF TH.7038).

There’s also a new boom design for better working angles and capacities, which also has automatic boom suspension management. The handler’s load sensing hydraulic system delivers up to 190 l/min across all functions while the hydrostatic transmission also has an intuitive system to ease operation. Its length remains at under 5m and the total width does not exceed 2.36m on 460/70 R24 tyres.

Lift capacity in the most common trailer loading conditions (4m and with 2m of boom extension) is upgraded to 4300kg, which is more than 700kg than the previous range leader. At maximum boom extension – it is 50cm longer – it has a 1600kg capability.

A new Z-shaped headstock provides greater working angles with an increase of 13° on the dumping angle (49° in total) and an increase of 17° on the total headstock range of movement (159°).
