A NEW generation of its Multicut mowers from Spearhead, feature significant design improvements over previous models as a result of customer feedback.

Two models make up the offering, the 470 and 630 versions, and both come with performance boosts, ease of maintenance and are designed for a longer working life.

The market leaders for rotary mowers across Europe, Spearhead collected a huge amount of customer feedback for its engineering team to work on.

One of the most significant changes is to the rotor gearbox. Designed by Spearhead in the UK, its major components are increased in size by up to 30%, with horsepower rating climbing from 111 to 165hp to cope with the ever increasing size of tractors.

Double lip seals and a reinforced seal protector offer further safeguards to the gearbox, which now has a five-year warranty.

Spearhead has also strengthened the rear axles on the new Multicut series. Walking axles are standard on both machines and the larger wheels are now offset and pivoted, so they can roll with the contour of the ground.

Coupled with tougher axles, the lift system for the wheels has been improved and each wheel arm now has individual lift, meaning changing height is faster and easier.

The centre deck of the Multicut 470 and 630 mowers is now completely flat, making cleaning and maintenance easier. Also, additional access holes speeds maintenance and blade changes plus there are interchangeable skid shoes.
