The world’s first integral front guard, XCollect 900-3 maize header that’s designed to improve road safety and operator comfort, can be viewed on the Krone stand at this year’s Lamma.

The maize header’s guard allows operators to prepare the machine for road travel without leaving the cab, using fingertip controls – folding the unit to transport width, securing it in transport position and fitting the lights.

Also on display will be an MX forage wagon with a free SpeedSharp unit worth £7740.

The Swadro TC 1370 on the stand is a new four rotor rake and hydraulic rotor suspension designed specifically for contractor and professional operators. It has a working width from 10.8m to 13.7m, which is a 20cm increase on the Swadro 1400 Plus. Swath widths are adjustable from 1.4m to 2.6m.

Featuring the Krone LiftTine set-up, this means forward speed can be increased by up to 20% without compromising crop loss. A Duramax cam track, which is lubrication and maintenance free, provides accurate control of the tine arm to produce a perfect box shaped swath.

Transport tyre dimensions are available as 620/40R22.5 or 710/35R22.5, with bogie wheels matching these tyre sizes. The compact rear end has LED lights and warning panels for adequate road safety and good visibility in work. Load sensing hydraulics come as standard, but there is an option for non load sensing too.

Krone’s combination baler wrappers, the Comprima CV 150 XC Plus, a variable chamber unit for 1m-1.5m bales, and the Comprima CF 155 XC Plus, with its well-proven semi variable chamber for 1.25-1.5m bales, will also be on show.

Comprima Plus models have a precision cutting system designed for flexibility with 17, or 26 blades with cutting lengths of 42mm and 64mm. The rotor is made from extra tempered steel with a hard wearing edge on the cutting system to ensure extended use and stability.

All Comprima Plus machines can either take film or net wrapping and a weighing system is available for the CF and CV models.
