RECENT updates to Lemken's popular Solitair seed drill range are designed to ensure perfect seed placement.

Lemken's Solitair 25 and Solitair 23 seed drills and the Azurit precision seed drill have been significantly redesigned, while the Solitair 9 pneumatic seed drill has been updated with a new look.

Both handling and operating comfort have been improved, while the seed metering and placement system with the proven parallel double disc coulters and depth control wheels remain unchanged.

The redesigned Solitair 8 and 9 feature an updated hopper design and lid. A new fan fitted to the Solitair 25 is extra silent and consumes less oil.

A new calibration sensor on the drill saves farmers having to move between the implement and tractor when calibrating. The access step has also been improved and the access grille can now be folded up to make the metering unit and calibration tray more accessible.

The useful pre-emergence markers and harrows of the Solitair 25 can also be fitted to Solitair 8 and 9 models, while the single harrows are mounted to the rear seeding coulters to reliably cover two seed rows. The optional compact harrow is easy to lift and can adjust to a wide range of different conditions.

The redesigned Saphir 9, Solitair 8 and Solitair 9 seed drills will be available from now, but only in limited quantities.
