ITS NEW entry-level sprayer, the Lexus 3000, made its UK debut on Kuhn Farm Machinery's stand.
The 3000-litre sprayer might be a simple machine, but it carries some of the pedigree of Kuhn’s higher end models, the Metris and Oceanis.
It has a polyethylene main tank, with 320-litre rinsing tank, and is available with MTA2, MEA2, RHPM and RHPA folding aluminium booms ranging from 18 to 24m. Kuhn’s Trapezia or Equilibra suspension systems can be fitted for working on rough terrain and an anti-whiplash system protects the boom from damage during sudden movements.
The manual valve system has two ‘steering wheel’ type valves to control the machine’s main spraying and flushing circuits and requires 30-50% fewer valve operations, compared to some other machines.
Spraying can be controlled via RPB or REB3 control boxes and can also be used with Kuhn’s full-colour Visioreb terminal which has full set-up control and enables automatic, GPS-controlled section cut-offs.
The unit has a hitch to axle length of 4.05m, a width of 2.23m and with standard 9.5 x 48 tyres (other sizes are available) it has a transport height of 3.08m (18m boom), or 3.50m (24m boom).
