EMERGENCY services were called to uplift a dead cow found floating in the River Clyde near the Clyde Arc – the 'Squinty Bridge' – at the weekend.
Police and fire crews secured the cow at the side before lifting it from a slipway using a crane.
The cow was handed over to Glasgow City Council veterinary officials.
A council spokeswoman told The Scottish Farmer: "Our enquries are ongoing. Officers in Trading Standards are liaising with all relevant partner agencies to identify and locate the owner."
