POWER tools and equipment has been stolen from a unit at The Old Dairy, Meikleour, and Police Scotland is appealing for information.

The theft occurred between 5pm on Friday, June 8, and 8am on Monday, June 11.

Stolen items included a Clark power washer, a Stihl saw and chainsaw, a Husqvarna chainsaw, a Makita hammer drill, a Paslode nail gun and a Dewalt mitre saw. In total, 14 items of this kind were taken, worth almost £3000.

It is believed that the person or people responsible most likely used a car or small van to take the stolen goods away from the scene.

If you have any information about this theft, or have been offered items like these for sale, or if you are the owner or hirer of storage units in rural areas, Police Scotland asks that you check and enhance, where necessary, the security of your units.
