A farmer on the island of Tiree has died after becoming trapped in a baler while baling fodder on the island.
Father of three, Allan MacCallum (46) died in the machine, which had recently been delivered to him. Two of his sons, Sean and Bradley, were also at the scene and heartbroken Sean said he had tried in vain to free his father from the baler.
The accident has had a traumatic effect on the whole island, which has a agriculture at its heart. Emergency services attended the scene but to no avail.
Tributes to Mr MacCallum have poured in to a crowdfunding page which is raising funds to help with funeral costs, after the incident last weekend.
