POLICE SCOTLAND.
A LARGE boar was said to be 'wandering' on the A76, near Kirkconnel, Dumfries and Galloway, on Sunday, with police being called to deal with the escapee.
Dumfries and Galloway police confirmed that the boar had been put into a field, but that they were keen to trace its owner, due to the boar having tags in its ears, and seemingly being called Toby.
Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the police.
