TV PRESENTER Piers Morgan took beef with a new vegan sausage roll which hit the high streets last week.

The ITV host slammed popular street bakers Greggs live on air, after their announcement of a vegan sausage roll entering their stores from the third of January. The presenter who has been known for a turbulent history with confronting vegans on the programme in the past, took the opportunity on the ITV Good Morning Britain programme to taste one of these products, then to mimic throwing up in utter disgust.

He then introduced the audience to ‘Morgan’s Meat’ parlour where the camera zoomed in on a selection of sausages, bacon and mince, to which Morgan stated: “what this is, is meat produced by Great British farmers – people I want to protect from this (vegan) scourge that is engulfing this country. This is meat produced in this country, a country until recently, of meat eaters,” he stressed.
