BRITISH wool is offering Young Farmers Club members a discount in training for their Blue Seal Qualification – but they need to submit their applications by March 30.
The Blue Seal Qualification offers an introduction to sheep shearing, covering aspects such as health and safety and the use of shearing equipment, alongside demonstrations and hands-on practice.
SAYFC members are being offered the two-day course, which includes one-to-one support from an instructor, for £80 plus VAT, a 50% discount on the usual cost.
This rate is open to all YFs who have not attended a course previously. Interested individuals should contact Scottish regional coordinator Julie Brown on juliebrown@britishwool.org.uk to register their interest before the March 30 deadline.
