THERE HAS been no further official news from Kintyre about the fate of the Campbeltown Creamery, but the rumour mill has been busy with mutterings about the imminent unveiling of a buy-out by local dairy producers.
As The Scottish Farmer went to press, neither NFU Scotland nor SAOS – both of which have been involved in the talks about the First Milk creamery's future – had anything to say on the matter, and a local producer said only that 'progress was being made', but he was bound to silence by a confidentiality agreement.
