THE West of Scotland Highland Cattle Club show has had to be postponed due to the recent wet weather.
"Unfortunately the weather has beaten us this year – the Bothy Field at Pollok is so wet that there is no chance of it being in any condition to survive cattle tramping around on it," said committee spokesman Duncan Watt. "The forecast for the rest of the week is not great so there is no prospect of it being usable by Saturday. However we will take a deep breath and hope that we can proceed next month.
"So instead of this Saturday, put Saturday September 21 in your diary instead. When we will have another attempt to get you all together for a great day out. The Committee apologises for the disappointment but it is outwith our control."
