POLICE SCOTLAND is appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision involving a tractor and a bicycle near Carrbridge.
The incident happened on Carr Road, approximately 400 metres from the junction with the A938, around 7.15pm on Thursday, August 22.
It involved a eastbound cyclist in collision with a tractor heading west. The 43-year-old male cyclist was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment and subsequently he was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.
The road reopened around 2.45am following an investigation at the scene.
Road Policing Sergeant David Miller said: "We are working to establish the full circumstances of this collision and anyone who may be able to help is asked to come forward. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the tractor or a group of bicycles on the road prior to the collision to get in touch.
"Anyone who could help our enquiries can call 101, quoting reference NM1637/19."
