So ... it has finally arrived. The new Land Rover Defender has been launched after a long three-year wait.
It will be available to order from now in 110 version, with a 90 available 'soon' as will two 'commercial' versions.
Prices start at £45k-plus for the 110 and expect to pay around £40k for the 90, though there will be 'plus-VAT' alternatives for the commercials from £35k.
Will the built-in electronic wizardry fit the bill for the utilitarian uses that farmers put it through; will the bodywork stand up to the odd header from a cow; and will you pay 'that much' for the new Defender?
For some of these answers and more on what it looks like, plus some of the spec's available, get this week's edition of The Scottish Farmer, out on Friday, September 13.
