REESINK will be launching Farmtrac’s smart range of compact tractors at January's LAMMA farm machinery event, with the FT25G electric model featuring lithium-ion battery technology headlining its stand.

The FT25G electric tractor is described as a 'hugely popular proposition' for equestrian centres, greenhouse growers and livestock farms, with its compact size, zero emissions and low noise levels. Charged from a domestic socket to 100% in five hours and able to run for up to six hours, it promises that productivity won't be affected by the decision to go green. Oil-immersed brakes, power steering and position control hydraulic linkage are all included as standard.

A new dedicated division from Reesink in the UK, Reesink Agriculture, has secured the exclusive distribution rights for Farmtrac tractors in the UK and in addition to the electric FT25G will also debut a selection of the comprehensive nine-strong smart-looking 20-113hp range at LAMMA.

Also appearing at the show will be the FT22, the most compact tractor in the range, the FT30H, the FT6075 and the 90hp FT690 model.

The engines are designed to meet the relevant emission standards with stage V products under development. Models feature independent rear PTO, and mid PTO is available on tractors equipped with HST transmission. As a range, all Farmtrac tractors boast a simple and reliable design, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs and the ability to plough through jobs easily – while its smart appearance can be attributed to styling by the Porsche design studio.

Reesink tractor sales manager Steven Haynes said: “We were looking to bring to the UK market a tractor range designed to offer performance and value while being simple and intuitive to operate. Not only that, but it had to be from a brand that paves the way with its product development. All of these points are evident across the range, but none more so than in the effective and innovative electric model.”
