AS PART of his lockdown homework from Crieff's Ardvreck School, Charlie Jones, of High Bellochantuy, was tasked with recreating a famous statue – and remembering a trip to Glasgow, he chose the equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington, that famously stands in the city's Royal Exchange Square, more often than not with a traffic cone perched on its head. Standing in for the Duke himself, Charlie co-opted his pet pig Chloe to act as his steed. Mum Hannah reports that Ardvreck School have been very good at providing the four Jones kids with online learning during lockdown, and had helped immensely by incorporating their life on the farm into the lessons. Charlie was particularly happy to be given a much sought after headmistress' commendation for 'successfully combining farming and online learning'
