EQUINE NUTRITION will be the focus of the next 'Welfare Wednesday' webinar on July 15.

The online series is part of a new fortnightly horse welfare initiative by World Horse Welfare, bringing expert advice from friends of the charity to share knowledge on key equine topics.

The next Welfare Wednesday webinar on July 15, at 7pm, will be joined by clinical equine nutritionist Dr Teresa Hollands and World Horse Welfare’s Head of UK Support, Sam Chubbock, to discuss the challenges that owners and carers face when trying to keep their much-loved horse or pony within a healthy weight range.

For those who missed the more recent webinar on Wednesday July 1, ‘Protecting your horse from the (ever) growing threat of disease,’ discussions took place around world equine disease prevention with expert Dr Richard Newton from the Animal Health Trust team. Dr Newton shared his knowledge on what the risk of infectious disease is to our UK horses and provided guidance on what steps owners and carers can take to reduce the risk of these diseases.

The first webinar on June 17, ‘Maintaining your horse’s fitness over summer 2020’, with three-time Olympic medallist Pippa Funnell MBE is available to watch on the charity’s website www.worldhorsewelfare.org/advice/general-advice/welfare-wednesdayswhere all future webinars will become available after they have taken place.

Towards the end of each session you will get the chance to ask the experts some questions live. If you are keen to be part of the conversation, then please join in by signing up to the free webinar here: https://worldhorsewelfare.zoom.us/webinar/register/3815929111933/WN_lWqOF9G8TFiB41ZHVK8VOQ
