Shepherds gathering sheep off the Howgill Fells in Cumbria, to wean the lambs, or 'Spain' them as its locally known. These sheep were walked up to five miles back to the farm. The flocks are hefted onto their own patch of land and have been for generations, each sheep leading its lamb back to their regular grazing area year after year (Pic: Wayne Hutchinson)
