A TRACTOR has overturned, closing the southbound A1 after Haddington in East Lothian by shedding its load of potatoes.
The incident occurred at around 7.45am this morning, and Traffic Scotland's Trunk Road Incident Support Service is understood to be onsite recovering the tractor and clearing up the potatoes.
Meanwhile traffic is being diverted via the A199 and back on at the Thistly Cross Roundabout.
Traffic Scotland's Twitter feed advised motorists that it has been raining potatoes, and they should beware 'spuddles' on the road.
