LOWER SPEYSIDE Young Farmers from Moray have been crowned the winners of this year’s hotly anticipated SAYFC Bale Art competition, fending off competition from 49 other entries across Scotland.

Taking inspiration from the classic nursery rhyme ‘This Little Piggy,’ the club focussed on the ‘stay at home’ message of the pandemic, thanking key workers and promoting this year’s Bale Art theme in support of RSABI’s Keep Talking Campaign.

Second place was awarded to Bathgate JAC and third place to Forfar YFC.

The bales are due to be dismantled from this Sunday (October 11) but if you hope to take a glimpse before then you can see this years winner from Lower Speyside at the Kinloss turn-off on the A96. If you are on the M8 at Pyramids before Livingston you will see Bathgate JAC's entry and Forfar's creation can be spotted on the A90 North of Dundee.

Pick up a copy of next week's paper to see all of the 12 finalists.
