THE annual Scottish Dairy Hub 'Question Time' panel session is moving to cyberspace.

The debate – which has been held in physical form at the farm business event for the past three years – has proven to be a must attend for dairy farmers and others with an interest in the sector. As part of AgriScot online, organisers hope it will be no less popular.

The Scottish Dairy Hub will once again be joined by Kite Consultancy to stage the session, which is set to take place on Wednesday, November 18, at 1pm

The expert panel, challenged to get their teeth into the big issues facing the dairy sector, includes managing director at Graham's the Family Dairy, Robert Graham; newly appointed chair of AHDB Nicholas Saphir; and journalist and market analyst Chris Walkland. The panel has a wealth of experience on dairy supply chains at domestic, national and world levels. Their knowledge and experience surrounding issues on Brexit, market forces, and the challenges of Covid-19 amongst other topics will ensure an insightful debate and be of great relevance to all that tune in.

Senior consultant at Kite, Becki Leach, will be co-hosting this year’s debate with Scottish Dairy Hub manager, Stuart Martin.

Mr Martin, explained why it was important to feature such a high-profile panel. He said: “The Scottish Dairy Hub’s main role is to answer the questions of dairy farmers and we want to give them an opportunity to ask questions directly to industry figures they may hear about, but don’t have a direct line for. Working again with Kite this year will also give a great opportunity for a greater amount of knowledge exchange from previous events which will ensure a very informative event for farmers and industry stakeholders.”

Ms Leach backed his sentiments, saying: "There are some very important issues on the horizon for dairy farmers in Scotland and this is a great opportunity to get some key messages across and listen to feedback from the farmers themselves.”
