THIS DELICIOUS rack of lamb by Rachel Campbell of Peebleshire JAC won her the top spot in their club's recent 'Read Steady Cook' competition.

Last month, Peeblesshire JAC's members were challenged by Louise Forsyth of Forsyths of Peebles to create a tasty dish from a set list of ingredients, which had to include Scotch Lamb. One of the aims of the challenge was to highlight the versatility of the meat and encourage the club to consider new ways of cooking. The competition supported by QMS, who are currently running their 'Make it Lamb for St Andrews Day' campaign to make lamb the national dish of choice. Second place in the competition was awarded to Ryan Brotherstone with third place to Joy Espie. Hannah Hunter won first prize in the junior section.
