YOUNG PEOPLE across rural Scotland will have the opportunity to put their questions to policy makers in a special event next week.
The Rural Youth Project's Virtual Cafe is back for its first event in 2021, taking place next Tuesday, February 23 at 6.30pm.
The line-up includes cabinet secretary for finance, Kate Forbes, and minister for rural affair and the natural environment, Ben Macpherson.
Both ministers will share their journey in raising their own rural voice, how they have supported rural communities and a little bit about their personal background.
Young people joining will be given the opportunity to ask both ministers questions – but these must be submitted in advance.
The Rural Youth Project Smart Village will also be revealed during the Cafe, in partnership with Smart Village Scotland.
This 'world-first' youth-centric Smart Village provides a platform for young people to collaboratively build vibrant, creative, and sustainable rural economies in the places they call home.
To register your free place for the event visit the Rural Youth Project website.
