SAVILLS has been instructed to bring a portfolio of four grain stores located across the East of Scotland and Northumberland to the open market on behalf of Chad Griffin and Tom MacLennan of FRP Advisory, the Joint Administrators of Alexander Inglis and Son Limited – In Administration; Tayside Grain Company Limited – In Administration and Inglis Grain Driers Limited – In Administration.
The stores, located in Errol, Tranent, Melrose and Morpeth, were operated by Alexander Inglis and Son Limited until the company entered administration on12 May 2021. Established in 1950 the business became one of the UK’s leading suppliers of grain into Scotland’s whisky and distilling industries, with a turnover approximately £100m.
