LESMAHAGOW YOUNG Farmers have raised £935 for farming charity RSABI following a successful cake delivery fundraiser.
On Sunday, April 25, members held a 'Cake Crate' delivery service for the local community, selling boxes full of cakes, traybakes and loafs, in place of their normal Charity Coffee Morning.
Secretary Amy Sloan commented: "As a club we decided the donation should go to RSABI a charity who has been a main support network for the agricultural community, not only during Covid. The club managed to sell over 90 boxes raising an amazing £935. After contacting RSABI we were then happy to learn that this amount would help two people who are struggling with their mental health get a block of counselling sessions.
"With mental health being a massive talking point for SAYFC over the past year or so with their 'Are Ewe Okay' initiative partnered with RSABI, this was a great achievement for the club and one we all can say we feel majorly proud of."
