OVER 151 entries were submitted for this year's virtual New Cumnock agricultural show, hosted by New Cumnock Young Farmers Club.
Due to continuing Covid restrictions the physical event was cancelled for its second year and is usually held at the Laight Farm, by kind permission of the Guild family.
Judges Andy and Isobel Patrick had a tough job sifting through entries for the five classes and the winners were announced on Facebook on Saturday, May 29, with £10 prize money for each winner.
Sheena Cowan was awarded first prize in the 'Past New Cumnock Show Photograph' competition, in a strong field of 45 entries.
Andrew Struthers won 'Best Shown Animal' with his Ayrshire cow and Terri Robertson's dog topped the most popular competition 'Best Pet' with 52 entries submitted.
Emma Guild and her farmyard cupcakes display won the 'Decorated Cupcakes' class and Bruce Guild won the 'Best Decorated/Homemade Facemask' in the under 16's competition with a tribute to backing British farming.
