Securing the top two prices – £6250 and £4550 – at the Summer Sensation online timed sale of Texel females staged through Harrison and Hetherington, was Andrew Clark of the Teiglum flock, Blackhills, Carluke.

Sale leader, was a Procters Chumba Wumba daughter, and the dam, is a Crailloch Ammunition sired-ewe being a maternal sister to 65,000gns Gargour Craftsman and 40,000gns Garngour Alabama. This gimmer sold over the Irish sea with Jeff Teward, Staindrop, Co Durham, for £6250.

The same transaction was completed for a gimmer from the same family, being sired by Craighead Crusader and out of a Knock Yardsman daughter. This helped the Teiglum flock achieve an average of £2654.00 for their five forward.

Andrew's brother, Alan of the Garngour flock from Lesmahagow, was next in the money when selling his pen of four to cash in at £2487.50 and topping at £3400.

This gimmer is another by Craighead Crusader being from the same family as the top two prices whilst the dam is sired by Halbeath VIP. Messrs Raine, Laneside, Barnard Castle, Co.Durham, forked out £3400 for this girl.

Another to head over the Irish sea was the second female to enter the ring, this time heading home with Messrs McCreesh, Cooks–tone, Co.Tyrone, N.Ireland, for £2800.

A Procters Chumba Wumba daughter, out of a ewe by Forkins Bently, which won champion at the Scottish Club Sale in 2018, whilst the gdam is ET sister to the reserve champion at the Great Yorkshire Show in 2019.

Selling his best for £2300 was Dye Clark of the Clarks flock, Lee Meadow, Braidwood, Carluke. A gimmer by Knock Yardsman out of a New View Awesome sired dam, this one sold to Messrs Breen, Enniskillen, Co.Fermanagh, N.Ireland.

The second purchase of Messrs Raine, Laneside, was the next lot in the Clarks pen, another gimmer by the Craighead Crusader and out of a Sportsmans Admiral II daugher.

Excelling in the ewe lambs at £2250 was a Sportsmans Cannon Ball daughter from David Preacher of the Holylee flock, Walkerburn, Scottish Borders. Messrs Brown, Penicuik, Midlothian, forked out the cash for this female bred from a ewe by Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid.

Robert Wilson of the Milbank, North Dorlaithers, Turriff, was once again in the money when selling a Ellen Valley Caesar sired gimmer for £2200.

She is out of a Aman Vyrnw sired dam and sold to Messrs McPolin, Newry, Co.Down, N.Ireland.

The Ochilmore pen produced a top price of £2050 for Thomas Muirhead, Ptarmigan House, Blair Atholl, Perthshire. This gimmer is by Rhaeadr Best Of The Best and out of Tamnamoney Tuborg Gold daughter, which is full sister to 145,000gns Knap Vicious Sid. She now travels south with Messrs Beachell, Driffield, Yorkshire.

Aberdeenshire breeder, Kenny Pratt, Oldtown, Peterculter, sold his Knock Dalwhinnie sired ewe lamb to Messrs Clark, Lanark, for £1600.

The best for the Knap flock from Robert Cockburn, Hill of Errol, Errol, Crieff, was £1500 when selling a ewe lamb by Sportsmans Cannon Ball to Messrs Coli, Muir of Ord, Ross-shire.

Realising £1200 was a gimmer backed by the Brackenridge Commander sire from Gordon Gray of the Ettrick flock, Sunnycroft, Lindean, Selkirk. Messrs Braund, Holsworthy, Devon, were the final bidders behind this girl.

A Deveronvale Aftershock daughter from James Innes of the Strathbogie flock, Dunscroft, Huntly, Aberdeenshire, realised £650. Purchasing this gimmer was Messrs Wightman, Milnthorpe, Cumbria.
