Ann Redpath, from Hownam, near Kelso, had a cookery blog at the start of lockdown encouraging people to shop local and offering traditional, store cupboard recipes while panic buying was taking place.
These recipes, along with her stories and lots of facts, poems, and memories of a few of her's and others' 2020 lockdown experiences, were made into a 'Lockdown in Lambing' cookery and memory book which was sold in aid of charity.
The end result was a superb £17,000 being raise which has been split between three charities – the Royal Highland Education Trust, Royal Highland Education Trust (Borders branch) and The Difference, at The Borders General Hospital.
Anne said: "A huge thankyou to everyone, from all over the world, who supported this project, it was completely amazing!"
The books are still available to buy for £10, plus £2 postage by emailing lockdownrecipebook@gmail.com
