A new breed record for a North Country Cheviot has been achieved at United Auctions, Lairg with Stouphill selling their best for £24,000.
The two-shear from the Allen family's Alnwick-based flock is sired by the 2019 Royal Highland Show breed champion, Badanloch Tip Top Tup, which is by North Loch Naver Nomad and was purchased here in 2018 for £11,000.
Buying back some of his own genetics was Hugh Mackenzie from Badanloch Estates, Kinbrace.
