The annual show and sale of Swaledale draft ewes, gimmers and ewe lambs, at Cockermouth, saw the champion pen of ewes sell for the top price of £220 for EJ and RJ Wear, Howe Green.
Not far behind on £200, was the reserve champion, a pen of gimmers from DW and AS Noble, Burblethwaite, with ewe lambs from the same home topping the section at £82.
