The reserve champion went on to scoop the top price of £5000 at Penrith and District Farmers' Marts annual show and sale of crossing Bluefaced Leicesters, for Messrs Lord, Hewgill.
This shearling ram is by M39 Hewgill and found a new home with C Lowis, Waterside House. Another from the same home made £2000 welling to Messrs Richardon, Bewaldeth.

Two others sold at £2000 to include a tup lamb sired by Highberries N1 from JH Little, Bank End Mill, purchased by Messrs Hickson, Beck Grange, Caldbeck.
The pre-sale champion, a lamb from WM Hutchinson, Kirkby Redgate, also made £2000. He is by the M1 Skeughdale, he sold to the judge, Shaun Procter, Villa, who bought him for £2000.
