The reserve champion, a shearling from the Jacksons of Doukgill, secured the top price of £5500 at the 90th annual show and sale of Dalesbred ewes and rams staged through Bentham Auction Mart.
Just behind on £5200 was a shearling from Stephen Wright of Stauvins, Roeburndale, to bolster the section average to £706, whilst aged rams cashed in at £313.
The champion, an aged ram from Richard Coates of Selber, Westhouse, realised £900 to Messrs Church of Pateley Bridge.
A small entry of ram lambs, peaked at £450 from David Lambert of Semerview, Leyburn.
Females sold to £360 for the champion winners, a pen of ewes from R Capstick and Son, Fell End, Ingleton.
