A successor to the best-seller in New Holland's fixed chamber baler inventory, the BR6090, has been announced by the company.

The new Roll-Bar 125 builds on the solid DNA of its predecessor, with its simple and proven Roll-BarTM bale chamber system, and further improves its performance, serviceability and durability with new features.

New Holland Agriculture said it carried over the perfect price-performance balance that was the hallmark of the BR6090 and added a host of new features.

Available in two versions, Rotor Feeder and Rotor Cutter, the new baler features new, modern styling, with a large side shield that provides easy access for maintenance.

At its heart, though it features the proven combination of large floor roll, starter roll and the high tensile steel bale rotation bars of the Roll-Bar bale chamber system, which aimed to ensure early core formation and positive rolling action across a wide range of crops and conditions.

New Holland's baler specialist, Felix Ramuenke, said: “The best-selling fixed chamber baler on the market has a worthy successor in the Roll-Bar 125, which remains true to its strong heritage DNA. With additional features and options, it is the right choice for farmers who looking for a robust, simple and diverse baler, which feels home in all major crops and conditions – from dry straw up to wet silage.”

The most visible new feature is its side shield as part of the enw styling. This is a robust weld structure with top door hinges, wide opening and gas strut supports to provide easy access to service point. It also provides protected space for storing spare net rolls.

The main frame of the baler has also been modified and a shock absorber added to both sides between the main frame and the tailgate to ensure smoother closing. The front lights have also been repositioned because of the new-design.

Under the hood, improvements include the use of high-grade drive chains with chromed pins and hardened plates, for a longer life cycle, and new sealed type bearings that prevent dust contamination. New Holland's well-proven hydraulic rotor reverser with a free-run clutch is now available on the Rotor Feeder models, for when there is a rotor blockage.
