Penrith and District Farmers’ Mart's sale of store cattle and breeding cattle, peaked at £1515 for a Limousin bullock from TE Clarke, Howgill Castle, whilst heifers sold to £1455 for a British Blue from Messrs Atkinson, Waitby.

The show and sale of suckled calves, saw the championship honours presented to a Limousin bullock from K and SJ Tyson, Dancing Gate, which later achieved £1040.

The same home also bagged the reserve honours, with a heifer of the same breed which made £840.

Dairy bred cattle were topped at £1355 for a British Blue bullock from JD Bowness, Cliburn Hall.
