The all-white Runleymill Roxburgh Lass Pam led the way in the Beef Shorthorn ring for John Wilson and Janet Dunning, Settle, North Yorkshire.

This September, 2020-born heifer calf is by Chapelton Dauphin and out of the heifer, Runleymill Roxburgh Lass. She was on her first outing and is now destined for Stars of the Future and the Darlington Show.

The same home also took home the blue and white ticket among the males with Runleymill Rahul. Another on his first outing, he is by HC Free Spirit and out of Uppermill Rothes Jet. This embryo January-born calf is set for the same shows as the champion.

Judge, Graham Towers, Greenley, found his reserve overall champion in the February-born bull calf, Highlee Rafferty, from Mark and Tracy Severn, Brick Green, Halifax. On his first outing, this boy is a son of Coldrochie Leif, which was bought at Stirling four years ago for 7500gns, with this being his first crop of calves, and out of Sandwick Rothes Lily, which was a Carlisle purchase.

Runner-up among the females was Stanfordpark Princess Rizzo, from Mark and Hayley Stoneham, Stanford in the Vale, Oxon. A Meonhill Fire Fox-sired January born calf being the first calf from Stanfordpark Princess Powder, was brought out by farm manager, Simon Bradley Farmer.
