Wreaywood Abro Debby led proceedings at Harrison and Hetherington's Borderway monthly dairy day, when achieving a top bid of £2600.

The sale leader came from Wilson of Woodside, Wreay, Carlisle, being sired by Sandy Valley Abro and out of Wraeywood Sovreign Debby. This four-year-old cow was giving 56kg when leaving the ring to Messrs Dixon, Hayton, Aspatria, Wigton.

The same buyer also went to £2500 for the June 2019 born heifer, Witherslack Silver Barbara from JD Inman, Strickland Hill, Cumbria. This heifer was giving 40kg being a daughter of Seagull-Bay Silver onto a Witherslack Anchor Barbara VG86 dam.

Witherslack Champion Ivory went on to make £2250 for the same home. This August 2019 born heifer is a daughter of Sandy-Valley Champion, out of Witherslack Bookmark Ivory EX91, and sold to Messrs Sewell, Greysouthen, Cockermouth.

Balcurvie Dealmaker Cassie made her mark for the Balcurvie Holsteins herd, Bankhead of Balcurvie, Fife, when selling for £2300 to Messrs Bulmers and Sons, Stranraer. This heifer is sired by Claynook Dealmaker and out of Balcurvie Miles Cassie.

Messrs Bulmers and Sons, also forked out £2250 for the heifer, Cambus Pendulum Poppy from John Lyle, Nether Pratis, Leven. She is the result of the Cambus Pendulum sire onto Hailstone Bond Poppy.

British Friesians made £2100 which was paid for Nerewater Iris from Richard Bell from near Wigton, whilst Montbeliarde cows realised £1850 for a MVP daughter from Mathew Workman from the Beeches Farm.

Jersey cross bred heifers topped at £1800 for a heifer from Tom Stewart, Sandyknowe, Kelso.
