Lawrie and Symington’s Great Bonanza Suffolk female sale took place at Crewelands Farm, with 137 females changing hands, with 33 animals going to Europe and the USA.

The star attraction and a new sale top of 10,000gns was paid for a gimmer from Stephen Sufferin, Crewelands flock. She is sired by Birness Hustler, and adding to her future potential she was carrying a pair of lambs to Shannagh Loanstar. The final bid for her came online from the USA with McCauley Suffolks adding her genetics to their flock.

The same home sold another gimmer for 4000gns to Limepark Suffolks, ROI. This one is sired by Birness Hustler and is scanned in lamb to Shannagh Loanstar.

Next at 6000gns was the first gimmer from Willie Tait, Burnview flock, a Strathbogie I’m Invincible daughter, she sold carrying a pair to Mullinvale Magnum and found a new home with Messrs McMenamin, Mullinvale flock.

The same home was also back in the money when selling another gimmer for 5000gns. A Clyda President daughter also carrying a pair to Mullinvale Magnum made its way back to Aberdeenshire with Messrs Troup, Corrennie.

Messrs McNally Jnr, Benedyglen flock, forked out 4800gns for the next best gimmer in the Burnview flock, being sired by Strathbogie I’m Invincible she was carrying twins to Lakeview Delboy.

Not far behind on the 4000gns price tag was another I’m Invincible daughter, this one carrying two lambs to Mullinvale Magnum and going home with Messrs Screene, Menlaugh.

Messrs McMenamin, also took home a 4000gns Birness gimmer, this one being sired by Birness Babe Magnet and carrying a pair to Mullinvale Magnum.

Last to make the 4000gns cheque was a gimmer from Messrs Watson, Bannview flock. A Middlemuir Commander daughter in lamb to Blackbrae Barbarian, she sold to Willie Tait for his Burnview flock.

Ewe lambs sold to a top of 4500gns from Messrs Turkington, Beechcrest, when finding a new home with Messrs Robinson, Benrafton flock.
