Another bumper exhibition of shepherd's crook's at LiveScot was led by a large ram's horn entry from first time exhibitor Eddie Foster, Stanhope, Co Durham.

This year, the event attracted an entry of 238 sticks, making it the largest shepherd's crook show in the country, when Yetholm show was postponed due to Covid. Judge John Fotheringham, Whitehills, Meigle, was most impressed by the quality of entries too.

"All the first prize winners are absolutely superb and several of them could have been champion – it was that close. The champion I selected is such a great stick because it has such a big handle which is so difficult to find and it has been finished to perfection.
