A ewe hogg from John Barrowman's Knockglass flock, set a new female record price for a Border Leicester at 3000gns when selling at a breed society sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

His entry, from the 20-ewe flock based at Stranraer, is one of the first sold by the Knockglass Johnnie B Good son, Knockglass Golden Eye and bred from a home-bred ewe by Didcot Deja Vu – a Lanark purchase six years ago. A member of the first prize pair of ewe lambs at last year's Anniversary Show and a red ticket holder at the pre-sale show, she sold to new breeders Ben and Tori Stanley, Derby.

Another from Knockglass by Golden Eye and bred from the same female line, made 1300gns when selling to Messrs Inman, Thorpe Satchville, Melton Mowbray.
