Commenting on her appointment, Lisa said: “I am delighted to be joining NFUS at what is an exciting and interesting time to be involved with Scottish agriculture. I am looking forward to working within the policy team to support the sustainability and profitability of the industry, while addressing the key challenges we face in the current climate.”
NFUS head of policy, Gemma Cooper, said: “I am really pleased to add Lisa to our well-respected team of policy experts. Her role is a brand-new position and an expansion of our existing team of lobbyists. As such it will boost our policy and lobbying capacity on behalf of our membership. Lisa has already shown us that she is incredibly talented, and I have no doubt that NFUS members will see the benefits of Lisa’s appointment in very short order."
