Maerdy Rocketman shot to the top of the Charolais show at Stirling Bull Sales today when firstly taking the junior champion and going on to secure the all important overall champion.

Esmor Evans of Mold, Flintshire, was bringing out his October 2020 born bull, being a son of Goldies Linford, whilst the dam, Maerdy Jealous is backed by home-bred genetics being sired by Maerdy Dynamite.

Judge, Jim Muirhead, Firhills, found his reserve champion in the senior champion, Westcarse Ruler from Catherine MacGregor, Insch. This boy was bought at the Westcarse dispersal with his dam for 13,000gns as the start of the Moss herd for Cameron, Jessica, Elizah and Neil. This April 2020 born bull is sired by Nuthampstead Judas, out of Westcarse Milly.

Intermediate champion was awarded to Balmyle Roberto from Bill Bruce, Balmyle, Meigle. This boy is backed by home-bred genetics being a son of Balmyle Jasper, and out of Balmyle Gretta, which has bred sons to 11,000gns being sired by Sacville Dynamite.
