Young Farmers' activities are getting back to speed after many were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 restrictions and now the East Area Young Farmers' Cabaret hopes to lead the charge back into 'live' action.

As usual clubs in the area have been rehearsing their many and varied acts for this popular event – and tickets are still available different teams rehearsing. It's in the Perth Concert Hall on March 5, curtain up 7pm and tickets are available on the SAYFC website, or contact any member of staff.

Lauren Adams, from Forfar JAC, told The SF: “As a new member, it has been a great opportunity to get to know everyone. I am definitely excited to compete at Perth and show off all of our hard work.”

Meanwhile, her club chairman, Bruce Keillor, added: “Great to be back practicing, I’ve always felt Cabaret is the heart of a club as it brings everyone together and takes them beyond their comfort zone."

Perthshire district's committee added: “Cabaret has always been a highlight of the YF year and we can’t wait to get back on stage. It brings all members of the club together and allows new members to get involved and meet others.”

The show will also have a full line up of showcase performances from Peebles-shire, East Fife, Aberfeldy, Biggar and more.
