Commercial beef breeding cattle records have been smashed, with a Limousin cross heifer with heifer calf at foot from Craig and Katreen Malone, Pitcairn, selling for a whopping £7800.
The sale at United Auctions' Stirling Centre, saw the black Limousin cross sell with Limousin cross calf to KA Paterson, Cairndaie Croft, Sauchen.
A flying trade throughout saw heifers with bull calves sell to £4500 and £4000, for British Blue crosses from West Thomaston.
