Plans for the 2022 Black Isle Show are gathering pace, and the society are delighted to introduce headline sponsors this year are the joint forces of the NFU Mutual agencies in Dingwall, Thurso, Elgin and Inverness.

Show president, Freida McKenzie, told The SF: “We are delighted that NFU Mutual has come on board as our main sponsor for the 2022 Show. Our local representative, NFU Mutual agent, Jonathan Hogg, received the NFU Membership Flame Award for outstanding efforts in recruiting and retaining members at a packed NFU Roadshow in Dingwall in May and we look forward to working with him throughout the year.

"After a two-year gap since the successful 2019 show, we are looking forward to welcoming members, competitors and members of the public to one of the friendliest shows on the circuit. Our trade stand holders are also delighted to be back with their agricultural, food and craft based products to present to the public and we have several new attractions lined up including the return of the much-loved open dog show. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the biggest one-day show in Scotland.”

Jonathan Hogg said: "Our agencies are delighted to be headline sponsors of the Black Isle. The show is a massive event for not only our local area, but the North of Scotland and it is great to have it back after the enforced break. We can't wait to welcome everyone at our stand this year, where a warm welcome awaits, and look forward to supporting the show for many years to come".

The show takes place on the Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord, with a preview show being held on Wednesday, August 3 from 4pm and the show day being on Thursday, August 4. This year three breed societies will hold their national shows – North Country Cheviot; Scottish Hereford Breeders Association and the Scottish National Simmentals. Main ring attractions will be performances by Big Pete and The Grim Reaper monster trucks.
