
Pedigree Berrichons sold to a top of 2000gns for a shearling ram at the First Choice sale at Worcester Auction Mart.
The tup, Yarburgh Wright, from Mrs J Bett, Lincoln was continental champion at Newark Show, and sold over the 'phone to GB Thomas, buying for the Goitre flock from Pontarddulais, Swansea.
The pre-sale champion, Galtres Yanai, a ram lamb from D Whitcher's Galtres flock made 1100gns, selling to the judge, J Yeo, for his Incledon flock from Devon.
The judge also purchased his choice of female champion, a gimmer from Bryan Evans' Janos flock which topped the section when making 1300gns.
Mr Yeo also bought two gimmers at 1200gns. First was a Yarburgh female from Mrs J Bett, with the second being a Marshland-bred entry again from Mr Evans.
Pedigree Dorset Horn and Poll Dorset sheep sold the same day were topped at 750gns by the pre-sale champion, a gimmer from R Hole, Sherborne. She sold scanned carrying a single to Sherborne Discovery, to J Blakiston, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
Matching that 750gns top price was a shearling ram from S and R Downes, which sold to Messrs Jones and Sons, Barhedyn.
