Now in its 33rd year, Tillage-Live, the national crop establishment demonstration, returns to Yorkshire in 2024. This year’s event will take place at Headley Hall near Tadcaster on September 18.
Organised by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA), the event will feature leading machinery manufacturers demonstrating the latest crop establishment technology. This includes ploughs, cultivators, and a range of drills such as conventional, strip tillage, and direct drills.

In the live demonstration arena, visitors can see the machinery in action, not just in stubble but also across several different cover crops, providing a real-world insight into various crop conditions. Tillage-Live remains the only national working crop establishment event and gives growers the first opportunity to see many new machines in post-harvest conditions.
Manufacturers demonstrating their equipment include Amazone, Horsch, Fentech Agri, KRM, Kubota, Kuhn, Kverneland, John Deere, Pottinger, SUMO, Opico, and Vaderstad, offering visitors a comprehensive view of professional crop establishment techniques.

Kayleigh Holden, event organiser, said: “The AEA is extremely pleased that Tillage-Live will be in Yorkshire for 2024.
“The site offers excellent facilities for manufacturers to showcase their machinery, and we would like to thank the University of Leeds Research Farm for hosting.”
This annual event, organised by the AEA, has been running since 1992.
Tillage-Live takes place on Wednesday, September 18, with easy access just minutes from Junction 44 of the A1(M)/A64 Bramham Interchange.
