James Patrick Sim (Jim) passed away suddenly, but peacefully in early January, 2022.
He was schooled locally in Brechin and went on to take over the running of Kincraig Farm and Mains of Pitforthie from his father, John.
Jim had a great interest and expertise in producing the highest quality beef cattle and was a well known and respected face at Forfar, Perth, Stirling and the Borders marts, greatly enjoying the craic at the ringside.
In his spare time, he frequently enjoyed a round of golf at Edzell Golf Club, was a keen snooker player and in his younger years played bowls with Brechin Bowling Club. He was also a great supporter of Brechin City Football Club.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Janice (Jessie, née Hogarth, of Dykesmains Farm, Saltcoats), his four children and nine grandchildren. He was a devoted family man and friend, and will be very greatly missed by all who knew him.
