MORE than 90 delegates attended the recent run of SAYFC ‘succession roadshows’ held across Scotland throughout the month of March, all led by Heather Wildman of Saviour Associates.
The roadshow consisted of six workshops and provided tips, guidance and advice on how to work out the best succession plan for your family and business. The sessions, along with copies of ‘Saviour’s Guide’, readied members for the questions and information accountants, bank managers, lawyers and solicitors would need before they help implement and complete a plan.
“I am delighted with the success and uptake of the succession planning workshops,” said National chairman, Stuart Jamieson.
“From the Borders to Caithness, the popularity of these evenings show that there is a real appetite to learn more about how to deal with the sensitive subject of farm succession, a topic which in many cases won’t be talked about openly.”
