EAST region members have once again taken part in their indoor sports competition, where members from the region competed in multiple sports at Michael Woods Sports Centre, Glenrothes.

Badminton, squash and netball were played across the day, with over 100 members attending to play for top place.

The day kicked off with badminton, where 24 teams played across four leagues before entering into a knock-out tournament. Callum Buchanan and Gayle Smith from Kinross JAC took first place while David Black and Kirsty Kinloch from the same club came second.

Strathearn JAC's Duncan Robertson and Eilidh Wilson took third.

14 members arrived at the brand new squash courts to battle it out for top place, where two leagues were played to determine the top spot playoffs. Russel Graham from Bell Baxter ADS came first, Ian Cullens from Kinross JAC second and Patrick MacDonald from Kinross JAC, third.

Seven-a-side mixed netball, a new competition to the East for 2019, was extremely well attended for its first running, where seven teams from across four districts took part. Two leagues were played across two courts, before playoffs determined the top three teams. Brechin YFC led the way, followed by East Fife JAC, then Forfar JAC.
